MutationLens is a developer tool that runs entirely inside your browser. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing data, or analytics.
Data collection
None. All processing happens locally inside the extension. Nothing leaves your browser. There are no servers we control, no analytics, no telemetry, and no third-party trackers.
Permissions used and why
- activeTab / scripting Inject the content script into the active tab so MutationLens can observe DOM mutations inside your selected container.
- tabs Read the active tab’s ID and URL to route messages between the side panel and the content script.
- sidePanel Open the MutationLens UI as a Chrome Side Panel.
- contextMenus Add a right-click "Use as selector" option for quick element selection.
- storage Reserved for future use. Currently no data is stored.
Third parties
MutationLens does not embed third-party scripts, fonts, or analytics in the extension. Your data is never shared with anyone because no data is ever collected.
Children
MutationLens is a developer tool and is not directed at children. It does not collect data from any user, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at https://mutationlens.dev/privacy with a new revision date.
